The Great Outdoors Festival returns this Victoria Day long weekend with even more on the GO!
Come out and play May 15-18, 2015 at GO Fest, Whistler’s Great Outdoors Festival! With four days of events and activities celebrating outdoor recreation – the challenge starts with deciding what to do first.
GO Fest merges the interests of the outdoor festival enthusiast with those of the traditional and competitive sports crowd for four days of racing, learning new skills, celebration and culture designed to draw nature lovers to the mountains.
It’s that time of year! The countdown to one of the greatest Whistler Festivals is on.
The World Ski and Snowboard Festival takes place April 10 – 19 and features Canada’s largest free outdoor concert series, amazing parties, contests, films, art, fashion shows, PLUS sweet spring skiing and sunny après sessions.

What’s New Arts Events:
Intersection – New Format for 2015 – this year, in celebration of the 20th Annual World Ski & Snowboard Festival, film crews will be able to bring their skiing and snowboarding footage from around the globe to Whistler’s big screens on Friday, April 17. With an extended timeframe and no limits to location, the chosen crews will put together a 5-7 minute film, unique to this competition, that incorporates artistic vision and a whole lot of shredding.
World Class Line up for 2015 Multiplicity
Like a TEDTalk on adrenalin, MULTIPLICITY is packed with adventurous visual storytelling from eight unique and passionate personalities in the mountain world. This event has become one of the crowd favorites in the WSSF’s line-up due to its huge entertainment and inspirational value.

The International Men’s March to End Gender Violence

Whistler Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an event to raise awareness about the issue of violence against women. Men of all ages will march a symbolic mile in women’s high heel shoes (that we provide) to raise funds in support of the Whistler Women’s Centre. Family and friends are encouraged to join in and march alongside in support of walkers in this fun, high-energy event. www.hswc.ca/walkamile
The Sports Highlights:
• The Association of Freeskiing Professionals World Tour Finals, featuring halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air.
• The Shred Show, featuring Boarderstyle, which pits four riders against each other at a time in a head-to-head boardercross-style race integrated with slopestyle terrain features, as well as invitational slopestyle and big air competitions.
• The Demo Park, which gives people the chance to test out skis and boards for free, including the latest from Artec, Atomic, Elan, Endeavor, Flow, Flux, Gnu, Head, Kastle, K2, Nordica, Rossignol, Roxy, Salomon, Switchback, Volkl, and many other brands.
